6th Annual ECI Stroller-A-Thon

Thousands of El Paso children live with developmental delays. Others have yet to be diagnosed. The ECI Stroller-A-Thon is an opportunity to raise awareness about these members of our community and have a little fun, too.

The event will start at 10:00 am. Saturday, September 25, 2010 at Ascarate Park, 6900 Delta. It will include a one-mile stroll around the lake, refreshments, prizes, games to include a diaper derbey, and booths that will provide information about a child's natural development and services that are offered to families of children with disabilities.

The Stroller-A-Thon is sponsored by the county's three Early Childhood Intervention programs that serve children with developmental delays from birth to age three. Proceeds from this event go to an emergency fund to help some families to pay for necessities such as food, clothing, utilities and respite care.
